Pinpoint Test E - CS Displayed, Top Two And Bottom Two Diagnostic Bars Displayed

E1 - Check Fuel Pump Wiring Resistance At Electronic Instrument Cluster

- Disconnect battery ground cable.
- Remove instrument cluster and secure connectors from shorting.
- With an ohmmeter, measure resistance between connector pin C1-6, circuit 29 (Y/W) and pin C1-8, circuit 676 (PK/O).
- Verify that the resistance is 14 ohms or greater (normally 15 to 160 ohms).

Is resistance at least 14 ohms?

YES REPLACE electronic instrument cluster. AFFIX odometer sticker to door pillar. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO GO to E2.

E2 - Check Fuel Pump Wiring

- Lower fuel tank to gain access to fuel pump module connector.
- Disconnect connector at fuel pump module.
- Measure the resistance between connector pin C1-6, circuit 29 (Y/W) and pin C1-8, circuit 676 (PK/O).
- Verify that resistance is greater than 10 K ohms.

Is resistance at least 10 K ohms?

YES REPLACE fuel pump. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE fuel pump wiring for short circuit. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
