Pinpoint Test P - Speed Control Indicator Does Not Come On When Speed Control Engaged

P1 - Check Voltage At Speed Control Servo

- Disconnect connector from speed control servo.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- Measure voltage between electronic instrument cluster connector pin C2-26, circuit 203 (O/LB) and 57 (BK).

Is voltage approximately 5V?

YES G0 to P2.
NO G0 to P3

P2 - Check Continuity Circuit 203 (O/LB)

- Disconnect electronic instrument cluster.
- Check continuity in circuit 203 (O/LB).

Is continuity present?

YES REPLACE electronic instrument cluster. AFFIX odometer sticker to door pillar. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE circuit 203 (O/LB). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

P3 - Verify B+ At Speed Control Servo

- Check for B+ at the speed control servo connector in pin 7, circuit 296 (W/P).

Is battery voltage present?

YES REPLACE speed control servo. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE circuit 296 (LB/PK). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
