Is PID TANKPR value 0?

YES GO to B1219-2.
NO INSPECT connectors and pins for loose connections. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system. If DTC B1219 is retrieved replace fuel indication module (FIM). RESTORE vehicle.

B1219-2 - Check Circuit 791 (R/PK) For Short To Circuit 875 (BK/LB)

- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect fuel indication module (Fl M).
- Install Rotunda Breakout Box 014-00322 or equivalent to fuel indication module harness connector, leave fuel indication module disconnected.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between breakout box Pin 7 and Pin 46.

Is resistance greater than 10K ohms?

YES GO to B1219-3.
NO SERVICE circuit 791 (R/PK) for short to circuit 875 (BK/LB). RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

B1219-3 - Check Signal Voltage At Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

- Connect fuel indication module to breakout box and harness assembly.
- Disconnect fuel tank pressure sensor connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN.

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Connector:

- Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between circuit 875 (BK/LB) and circuit 912 (W/R) at fuel tank pressure sensor connector.

Is voltage between 4-6 volts?

YES GO to B1219-4.
NO GO to B1219-6.

B1219-4 - Check For Open In Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor

- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Connect a jumper wire between circuit 791 (R/PK) and 912 (W/R) at the sensor connector.
- Turn ignition switch to RUN.
- Using a voltmeter, measure the voltage between breakout box pin 7 and pin 26.

Is the voltage now greater than 4.61 volts?

YES GO to B1219-6.
NO GO to B1219-5.

B1219-5 - Check For Open In Circuit 791 (R/PK) Or Circuit 912 (W/R)

- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Using an ohmmeter, connect one lead to breakout box Pin 26, connect the second lead to circuit 912 (W/R) at fuel tank pressure sensor harness connector.

Is resistance less than 5 ohms?

YES SERVICE circuit 791 (R/PK) for open. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.
NO SERVICE circuit 912 (W/R) for open. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

B1219-6 - Check Circuit 875 (BK/LB) For Open

- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect fuel indication module, leave breakout box connected to harness.

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Connector:

- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of circuit 875 (BK/LB) between breakout box pin 46 and circuit 875 (BK/LB) at sensor connector.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

YES GO to B1219-7.
NO SERVICE circuit 875 (BK/LB) for open. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

B1219-7 - Check Circuit 912 (W/R) For Short

- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect fuel tank pressure sensor.
- Disconnect fuel indication module, leave breakout box connected to harness.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between breakout box pins 26 and 40.

Is resistance greater than 10K ohms?

YES G0 to B1219-8.
NO SERVICE circuit 912 (W/R) for short to ground. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

B1219-8 Check Circuit 875 (BK/LB) For Short To Ground

- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect fuel tank pressure sensor.
- Using an ohmmeter, connect one lead to breakout box pin 46, connect the second lead to breakout box pin 40 or 60.

Is resistance greater than 10K ohms?

YES GO to B1219-9.
NO SERVICE circuit 875 (BK/LB) for short to ground. RESTORE vehicle. RETEST system.

B1219-9 - Check Circuit 912 (W/R) For Open

- Turn ignition switch to OFF.

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Connector:

- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of circuit 912 (W/R) between breakout box pin 26 and circuit 912 (W/R) at sensor connector.

Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
