Fuel Tank Mounting Straps: Service and Repair

NOTE: The fuel tank support straps can only be removed and/or replaced by removing the fuel tank. The pivoting end of the fuel tank support strap is slotted for ease of removal once sufficient space is obtained after fuel tank removal.

1. Remove fuel tank.
2. Pivot tank support strap 90 degrees and remove slotted end of fuel tank support from vehicle.
3. To install, reverse removal procedure.
4. Tighten fuel tank support straps to 29-41 Nm (21-30 lb ft).
