Brake Fluid Level Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

If brake fluid is lost from any circuit, a brake fluid level switch in the brake master cylinder reservoir will illuminate a brake system warning indicator in the instrument cluster. Once the circuit is closed, the brake system warning indicator will come on and remain on whenever the ignition switch is in the ON or START position.
