Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Mass Airflow Sensor:

2. Disconnect the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

Intake Air Temperature Sensor:

3. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.

Vent Solenoid:

4. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) vent solenoid vacuum hose.

Tube:

5. Loosen the clamp securing the air cleaner to intake manifold tube onto the MAF sensor.
6. Disconnect the air cleaner to intake manifold tube at the MAF sensor.
7. Release the air cleaner housing cover hold-down clamps.
8. Remove the air cleaner housing cover and the Air Cleaner Element (ACL Element).

Air Cleaner Housing:

9. Remove the air cleaner housing bolt and nut.
10. Remove the engine Air Cleaner (ACL).
11. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
