Throttle Cable/Linkage: Description and Operation

Accelerator Pedal Assembly:

The position of the throttle plate is regulated by the accelerator cable. A ferrule attached to the accelerator cable end engages the throttle control lever at the throttle body. From the throttle control lever, the accelerator cable enters a casing that routes through the engine compartment to the bulkhead. At the accelerator pedal and shaft, a plastic insert with lock tabs is used to secure the accelerator cable.
