Removal and Installation
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Drain the radiator.
3. Remove the air cleaner intake tube.
Accelerator Cable:
4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle lever.
Idle Switch:
5. Disconnect the idle switch electrical connector.
Throttle Position Sensor:
6. Disconnect the throttle position sensor electrical connector.
Throttle Body Nut And Bolts:
7. Remove the throttle body nut and three throttle body bolts.
8. Remove the throttle body.
NOTE: Mark the coolant hoses prior to removal to ease installation.
9. Tilt the throttle body back and disconnect the two coolant hoses.
10. Remove the throttle body, discarding the gasket.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Install a new throttle body gasket.
3. Tighten the throttle body nut and three throttle body bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-19 lb ft).
