Component Tests and General Diagnostics

1. Remove instrument cluster from vehicle.
2. Using a suitable jumper, connect battery positive terminal to instrument cluster temperature gauge "+" terminal, and battery negative terminal to engine coolant temperature gauge "-" terminal.
3. Connect one lead of Rotunda instrument gauge system tester 014-R1063, or equivalent, to engine coolant temperature gauge "U" terminal and connect other lead to gauge "-" terminal.
4. Adjust instrument gauge system tester to show 15.9 ohms at "H", and 180.5 ohms at "C".
5. If engine coolant temperature gauge does not operate as specified, replace.
