QT4 Check Warning Indicator With Engine Running








- Start the engine.

- NOTE: Certain ABS faults require that the vehicle be driven in order for the anti-lock brake warning indicator to come on. Other faults will cause the anti-lock brake warning indicator to turn on each time the engine is started.

Drive the vehicle if necessary.

- Does the anti-lock brake warning indicator illuminate?

YES -- Indicates a present failure. Proceed to Quick Test Step QT5 if using a Super Star II Tester. QT5 Perform Super Star II Hookup
Proceed to Quick Test Step QT6 if using NGS. QT6 Perform New Generation Star (NGS) Hookup
Proceed to Quick Test Step QT7 if using a DVOM. QT7 Perform VOM Hookup

NO -- Normal operation. If ABS symptom exists, go to Pinpoint Test Step H1. Pinpoint Tests
