Supercharger Inlet Plenum
REMOVAL1. Remove cowl vent screens.
2. Remove charge air cooler to intake manifold adapter.
3. Remove air cleaner outlet tube from throttle body.
4. Disconnect accelerator cable.
5. Remove accelerator cable bracket retaining bolts and position bracket out of the way.
6. Disconnect PCV tube.
7. Disconnect vacuum lines supercharger inlet plenum.
8. Disconnect electrical connections at throttle position sensor and idle air control valve.
9. Remove four supercharger inlet plenum assembly retaining bolts.
10. Loosen supercharger bypass valve hose clamp.
11. Remove EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
12. Remove EGR transducer.
13. Remove supercharger inlet plenum and throttle body assembly as a unit. Remove four throttle body retaining nuts and separate inlet plenum from throttle body.
INSTALLATION
1. Clean and inspect gasket surfaces.
2. Install throttle body to supercharger inlet plenum, using new gasket. Tighten nuts to 20-30 Nm (15-22 lb ft).
3. Apply Threadlock 262 EZFZ-19554-B (ESE-M4G204-A3) or equivalent to plenum mating surface. Slide supercharger inlet plenum into supercharger bypass valve hose and install supercharger inlet plenum assembly and four retaining bolts.
Tighten:
- Bolts to 21-32 Nm (16-24 lb ft).
- Clamps to 2.3-3.4 Nm (20-30 lb in).
4. Install EGR transducer. Tighten retainers to 8-13 Nm (6.0-9.0 lb ft).
5. Install EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube to EGR valve.
6. Attach electrical connectors at idle air control valve, EGR transducer and throttle position sensor.
7. Connect vacuum lines at supercharger inlet plenum and EGR transducer. Install PCV tube.
8. Install accelerator cable bracket. Tighten bolts to 20-30 Nm (15-22 lb ft).
9. Connect accelerator cable.
10. Install air cleaner outlet tube.
11. Install charge air cooler to intake manifold adapter.
12. Install cowl vent screens.
13. Start engine and check for proper operation and leaks using propane.
