Ignition Diagnostic Monitor (IDM)

PURPOSE
The Ignition Diagnostic Monitor (IDM) is an output from the Ignition Control Module (ICM) that provides diagnostic information concerning the ignition system to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for self-test and as the input signal for the vehicle tachometer.
