Oil Pan: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove righthand splash shield, then drain oil from engine.
3. Disconnect oxygen sensor connector, then support exhaust system using a screw type jack.
4. Remove converter inlet pipe to exhaust manifold attaching nuts and position pipe aside.
5. Remove oil pan mounting bolts and carefully pry pan from stiffener.
6. Reverse procedure to install, applying a continuous bead of sealant around oil pan. Tighten oil pan to 14-19 ft lb.
