QT5 Perform Super Star II Hookup

- Verify that a failure has been detected in the ABS. (An illuminated anti-lock brake warning indicator in the key ON, engine running mode indicates a present failure. If the anti-lock brake warning indicator is not illuminated in key ON, engine running mode but the symptom exists, it may indicate a past or intermittent problem.)

- Turn the ignition key OFF.

- Access the Data Link Connector (DLC) located in the engine compartment.

- Connect a Super STAR II tester to the DLC using Super MECS Adapter 007-00052.

- Place the adapter in the "ABS" position.

- Place the tester in the "MECS" position.

- Latch the Super STAR II tester to the TEST position.

- Is the Super STAR II hooked up properly?

YES -- Proceed to QT7. QT7 Perform ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code Retrieval

NO -- Re-attempt this step. Service any faults if necessary.
