QT4 Check Warning Indicator With Engine Running

NOTE: Certain ABS faults require that the vehicle be driven in order for the indicator to come on. Other faults will cause the indicator to turn on each time the engine is started.

- Start the engine.

- Drive the vehicle if necessary.

- Does the anti-lock brake warning indicator illuminate?

YES -- (Retrieve codes using Super STAR II Tester)
Indicates a present failure. Proceed to Quick Test Step QT5. QT5 Perform Super Star II Hookup

YES -- (Retrieve codes using VOM)
Indicates a present failure. Proceed to Quick Test Step QT6. QT6 Perform VOM Hookup

NO -- (Indicator not illuminated)
Normal operation. If ABS symptom exists, go to Pinpoint Test G1. Pinpoint Tests
