Ignition Coil: Service and Repair
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil.
3. Remove the ignition spark plug wires from the ignition coil by squeezing the locking tabs to release the coil boot retainers.
4. Remove the four ignition coil bolts and the noise filter condenser.
5. Save the noise filter condenser for installation with the new ignition coil.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the four ignition coil bolts to 5-7 N.m (40-61 lb.in).
