3.OL/3.2L SHO Engine.
The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) is a single hall effect magnetic switch, which is activated by three vanes on the crankshaft sprocket. The signal generated by this sensor is called CKP. The CKP signal provides base timing and RPM information to:
^ The ignition control module.
^ The powertrain control module.
Initial engine ignition timing is set at 10° ±2 degrees BTDC and is NOT ADJU8TABLE.
