Coolant Level Sensor: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION






The low coolant level warning sensor is mounted on the radiator coolant recovery reservoir. When the engine coolant level in the radiator coolant recovery reservoir drops below the FULL COLD mark on the side of the radiator coolant recovery reservoir, the low coolant level warning sensor completes the circuit to ground and the low coolant indicator in the instrument cluster comes on.
