AB8 - Check PIP Signal

- Key "OFF".

- Breakout box installed, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connected.

- Measure voltage between test pin 56 and test pin 16 at breakout box.

- Crank engine, record reading.

- Is voltage between 3.0 and 7.0 volts?

Yes -- Go to AB9. AB9 - Check Continuity of Ignition Ground Circuit

No -- Go to AB11. AB11 - Check Continuity of PIP Circuit
