Throttle Body: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove air cleaner outlet tube and accelerator cables.

2. Disconnect fuel charging wiring connectors at throttle position sensor and idle air control valve.

3. Remove water bypass hoses.

4. Disconnect crankcase ventilation tubes.

5. Remove throttle body retaining bolts and nuts and remove throttle body.

Throttle Body Assembly:

INSTALLATION

1. Clean and inspect mounting surfaces.

2. Install new throttle body gasket.

3. Position throttle body and install retaining bolts and nuts.

4. Connect crankcase ventilation tubes.

5. Connect water bypass hoses.

6. Connect fuel charging wiring connectors at throttle position sensor and idle air control valve.

7. Install accelerator cables and air cleaner outlet tube.
