Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Disconnect two oxygen sensor connectors, then remove three nuts at each exhaust manifold and lower exhaust system.
3. Remove three exhaust manifold insulator bolts, then the insulator.
4. Remove manifold retaining nuts and attaching bolts.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Use a new gasket when installing manifold.
b. Torque manifold nuts and bolts to 14-18 ft lb, then tighten manifold insulator bolts to 71-88 in lbs.
