EGR Valve: Service and Repair

EGR Valve:

REMOVAL
^ Remove air cleaner outlet tube.
^ Disconnect EGR valve emission vacuum control hose from EGR valve.
^ Disconnect fuel charging wiring from EGR valve.
^ Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve.
^ Remove EGR valve retainer nuts and EGR valve from upper intake manifold.
^ Remove EGR valve gasket and clean residue from upper intake manifold sealing surface.

INSTALLATION
^ To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten EGR valve retaining nuts to 12-18 Nm (106-159 in lb). Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nut to 41 Nm (30 ft lb).
