Fuel Line - Ticking/Tapping Sound

FORD:
1994 MUSTANG

ISSUE:
A "ticking/tapping" sound coming from the engine compartment with the engine running at idle may be caused by a fuel line pulsation. This noise is similar to a "valve train" type noise and can be heard while sitting in the vehicle.

ACTION:
Install a revised supply side fuel hose with damper assembly to eliminate the noise. Refer to the 1994 Mustang Service Manual, for service details.
