Cigarette Lighter: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disengage the ash receptacle from its retainer by pulling up.
3. Disconnect the cigar lighter feed wire from the cigar lighter socket and retainer.
4. Remove the cigar lighter socket retainer and the cigar lighter socket and retainer.
5. To install, reverse Removal procedure and test the cigar lighter knob and element for proper operation.
