System Air Flow
SYSTEM AIRFLOWThe volume of air moving through the climate control system is controlled by the blower motor switch. The path which the air takes as it moves into and through the climate control system is controlled by the position of the levers on the climate control assembly.
OFF
There is no airflow through the climate control system when the blower motor control is in the OFF position.
NOTE: When the function control lever is placed in the defrost (far right) mode, the A/C compressor will operate, and the blue A/C indicator on the climate control assembly will illuminate. The A/C compressor will operate in the defrost mode regardless of the position of the push-button A/C switch This feature is designed to dehumidify air in the passenger compartment.
NOTE: Also, for early build 1994 vehicles, the A/C indicator will illuminate in the defrost mode; for later build 1994 vehicles, the A/C indicator will not illuminate, although the A/C compressor will still operate.
