41-6 Check Resistance Across Pins 15 and 11

^ Place the Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-00051 or equivalent on the highest ohm scale available (100,000 ohms or greater).

^ Measure the resistance across Pin 15 and Pin 11 at the air bag diagnostic monitor connectors.

^ Is the resistance measurement greater than 100,000 ohms?

YES -- Locate and service the short between the air bag circuits (944, 944A, 944B, 944C, 943, 938, 939, and 937) and battery positive (B+) in the wiring harness. Reconnect the system. Verify the system. Reactivate the system.

NO -- Go to 41-7. 41-7 Measure Resistance of Safing Sensor
