21-3 Check Safing Sensor Circuit

^ Disconnect the safing sensor connector.

^ Measure the resistance of circuit 951 (GN/Y) between the connector leading to the safing sensor and ground.

^ Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?

YES -- Locate and service the open in circuit 941 (R/GN) or 951 (GN/Y) between the rear air bag sensor and the air bag diagnostic monitor. Reconnect the system. Verify the system.

NO -- Go to 21-4. 21-4 Check Safing Sensor Mounting
