21-2 Check Safing Sensor Ground

^ Deactivate the air bag system.

^ Leave the battery ground cable disconnected.

^ Disconnect the air bag diagnostic monitor connectors.

^ Measure the resistance between the gray air bag diagnostic monitor connector Pin 3 (ground) and Pin 16 (circuit 941 R/GN).

^ Is the resistance less than 2 ohms?

YES -- Replace the air bag diagnostic monitor. Verify the system. Reactivate the system.

NO -- Go to 21-3. 21-3 Check Safing Sensor Circuit
