Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

WARNING: DO NOT smoke or carry an open flame of any type while working on or near any fuel related component(s).

Fuel Injectors:

REMOVAL

1. Relieve fuel system pressure see Fuel Pressure Release Procedure. Service and Repair
2. Remove upper intake manifold.

Disconnect And Plug Fuel Lines:

3. Disconnect and plug fuel lines.

Electrical Connectors:

4. Unplug injector electrical connectors.

Remove Fuel Injection Supply Manifold Bolts:

5. Remove injection supply manifold bolts. Remove manifold and insulators.

Fuel Injection Supply Manifold And Insulators:

6. Remove injectors from supply manifold.

Fuel Injector And Supply Manifold:

7. Remove and discard injector insulators and O-rings.

INSTALLATION

1. Reverse removal procedure to install.
2. Tighten injection supply manifold bolts to 19-25 Nm (14-17 ft lb).

NOTE: Use new O-rings and insulators.
