Engine Air Cleaner Removal

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301).

2. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.

3. Disconnect the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor electrical, connector.

Vent Solenoid:

4. Disconnect the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) vent solenoid vacuum hose.

Tube:

5. Loosen the clamp securing the air cleaner to intake manifold tube (9B697) onto the MAF sensor.

6. Disconnect the air cleaner to intake manifold tube at the MAF sensor.

7. Release engine air cleaner hold-down clamps.

8. Remove the upper half of the engine air cleaner (9600) and the air cleaner element (96O1).





9. Remove the engine air cleaner bolt and nut.

10. Remove the lower half of the engine air cleaner.

Installation

^ To install, reverse the removal procedure.
