Barometric Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair
NOTE: Sensor is an integral component of the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and cannot be replaced separately.REMOVAL
CAUTION: Electronic Modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the powertrain control module relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 10 miles or more to relearn the adaptive strategy.
2. Remove the PCM console panel access panel, located in front of the shift control selector and housing.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the PCM.
4. Remove the PCM bolts.
5. Remove the PCM from the console panel.
INSTALLATION
1. Install PCM to the console panel.
2. Install PCM bolts.
3. Connect PCM electrical connectors.
4. Install the PCM console panel access panel.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
