This article is being republished in its entirety to specify transaxle type for affected vehicles.

ISSUE:
A "drone" noise from the # 1 engine mount may be heard when moving from a stop or when accelerating or decelerating in first gear. The engine moves back and forth causing the noise at the # 1 engine mount.

ACTION:
Install a new # 1 engine mount which has no liquid between the stopper rubber and outside rubber. Refer to the 1993 Probe Service Manual, Section 03-01B, for the removal and installation procedure.
