With Manual Transmission
Transaxle To Engine Mounting Bolts (M/T):
1. Tighten engine to transaxle attaching bolts to specifications in sequence.
2. Lower engine and transaxle into engine compartment.
3. Install rear transaxle mount and tighten three nuts to specifications.
4. Install front and lefthand side transaxle mounts, then tighten mount nuts to specifications.
5. Install righthand engine mount and tighten nuts and through bolt to specifications.
6. Remove lift chains from engine eye hooks, then raise and support vehicle.
7. Install power steering pump and tighten mounting bolts to specifications.
8. Install drive belt over power steering and water pump pulleys, then tighten belt tensioner and center nut.
9. Install A/C compressor, tightening its mounting bolts to specifications, then position drive belt on A/C, crankshaft and generator pulleys. Tighten belt tensioner and center nut.
10. Align extension bar and torque nut to 23-33 ft lb, then install transaxle shift linkage and tighten bolt to specifications.
11. Install halfshafts.
Manual Transaxle Cradle Mounting:
12. Install transaxle cradle, then the attaching nuts and bolts as shown. Tighten to specifications.
13. Install converter inlet pipes.
14. Install transverse member and tighten mounting bolts to specifications.
15. Install splash shields and wheels, then lower vehicle.
16. Install power steering hose bracket retaining bolt at top of pump.
17. Connect electrical connectors and vacuum hoses, then install battery tray.
18. Connect throttle cable to throttle body, then the slave cylinder line to slave cylinder. Install slave cylinder line into two spring clips on bracket.
19. Install radiator and cooling fan assembly, then the radiator hoses.
20. Install battery tray and battery, then bleed clutch system.
21. Refill fluids, then check engine operation. Check for fluid loss.
