With Automatic Transmission

Fig. 4, Transaxle To Engine Mounting (A/T):





1. Torque engine to transaxle attaching bolts to 50-73 ft lb in sequence, then lower engine and transaxle into vehicle.
2. Install righthand engine mount and tighten bolts and nuts to specifications.
3. Tighten lefthand transaxle mount through-bolt to specifications.
4. Remove lifting device, then raise and support vehicle.
5. Install front and rear transaxle mount through-bolts and tighten to specifications.
6. Lower vehicle, then align cooling fan relay bracket and install two bolts.
7. Connect shift cable to Manual Lever Position (MLP) switch and install spring clip.
8. Install fuel filter, then connect throttle cable to throttle body. Using a new copper crush washer, install fuel rail supply line and torque line fitting to 18-25 ft lb.
9. Attach heater hoses to thermostat housing, then reconnect all disconnected electrical and vacuum connections.
10. Install radiator and cooling fan assembly, then the radiator hoses.
11. Install A/C compressor.
12. Torque power steering hose bracket-to-pump bolt to 23-34 ft lb, then working through the pump pulley install the three steering pump bolts and torque to 23-34 ft lb.
13. Install power steering/water pump belt, then raise and support vehicle and install halfshafts.
14. Connect converter inlet pipes to the exhaust manifolds and tighten attaching nuts to specifications.
15. Install transverse member and tighten bolts to specifications.
16. Install front splash shields and wheels, then lower vehicle.
17. Install generator-A/C belt and air cleaner case.
18. Install battery tray and battery, then refill fluids and check engine operation. Check for fluid loss.
