Valve Cover: Service and Repair

1. Remove intake manifold.
2. Remove upper timing cover bolts.
3. Remove cylinder head valve cover bolts, then ventilation pipe from front cover.
4. Remove cylinder head cover and any remaining sealant or gasket material.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

a. Apply silicone sealant to areas shown.

Cylinder Head Cover Bolt Tightening Sequence:

b. Tighten valve cover bolts in sequence in two steps to 45-70 in lb.
