Standard Wipers

Battery voltage is applied to the Combination Switch and the Windshield Wiper Motor through the WIPER Fuse with the Ignition Switch in "RUN". The Combination Switch receives ground via circuit 50 (BK) while the Windshield Wiper Motor is case grounded.

LO/HI MODE

When the Wiper Switch is put in the "LO" position, battery voltage is applied to the Windshield Wiper Motor "LO" speed input via circuit 125 (BL/W). The motor runs at "LO" speed. When the Wiper Switch is put in the "HI" position, battery voltage is applied to the Windshield Wiper Motor "HI" speed input via circuit 126 (R). The Motor runs at "HI" Speed.

PARK MODE

When the Wiper Switch is moved to the "OFF" position, battery voltage is piped from the WIPER Fuse through the Park Switch to the Windshield Wiper motor. As the wipers move to the park position battery voltage through the Park Switch is interrupted and the wipers come to rest in the park position.

WASHER

When the Washer Switch is activated, battery voltage is applied to the Windshield Washer Motor, the washer sprays fluid from the washer fluid reservoir. At the same time, battery voltage is applied to the Wiper Relay within the Combination Switch and the relay contacts close applying battery voltage to the Windshield Wiper Motor. The wipers wipe briefly before parking.
