DTC 46 - LH Crash Sensor Not Mounted to Vehicle Properly
Electrical Schematic:
Normal Operation
NOTE: Circuit 934 ("BR") is attached to the side of the LH crash sensor case. In addition, the case is grounded to the vehicle.
The diagnostic monitor measures the resistance between pin 22 (circuit 934 "BR") and pin 3 (diagnostic monitor reference ground). If the diagnostic monitor measures a difference of more than 2.0 ohms between pin 22 and pin 3, it will flash a code 46.
Possible Causes
High resistance on pin 22 (circuit 934 "BR") to ground can be cause by:
1. A poor connection due to loose mounting, dirt or corrosion at the LH crash sensor mounting location.
2. An open or damaged wire in circuit 934 ("BR") from pin 22 of the diagnostic monitor harness connector to the LH crash sensor.
3. An open wire or loose "BR" wire attachment inside LH crash sensor.
