Door/Trunk Ajar Indicator/Lamp: Description and Operation

With the Luggage Compartment or either Door Courtesy Lamp Switch unlatched, the Luggage Compartment Lamp Switch contacts close, grounding the Door Ajar Indicator. Current flows through the METER Fuse, the Door Ajar Indicator and the Luggage Compartment Lamp Switch to ground, and the Indicator illuminates.
