Removal and Replacement

Throttle Body:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect electrical connector from Idle Air Control (IAC) valve assembly.

2. Remove the two IAC valve retaining bolts.

3. Remove IAC valve and gasket.

Air Bypass Valve:

INSTALLATION

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, DO NOT damage IAC valve or intake manifold gasket surfaces. Avoid dropping gasket material into manifold passages.

2. Install a new gasket and IAC valve.

3. Tighten retaining screws 8-11 Nm (71-97 in lb).

4. Connect electrical connector to IAC valve assembly.
