Front Limit Switch

REMOVAL
1. Unbuckle the shoulder belt from the carrier.






2. Remove the A to B-pillar trim.
3. Cycle the carrier to the B-pillar (retracted position).
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable.






5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the front limit switch.
6. Remove the track mounting bolt.






7. Remove the track-to-switch screw.






8. Slide the front limit switch off the track.

INSTALLATION
1. Slide the front limit switch onto the track.
2. Install the track-to-switch screw.
3. Install the track mounting bolt and tighten it to 8-12 Nm (6-8 ft lbs).
4. Connect the electrical connector.
5. Install the A to B-pillar trim.

NOTE: Pulling off the A-pillar moulding near the instrument panel eases A to B-pillar trim installation.

6. Buckle the shoulder belt to the carrier.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
8. Check the passive restraint system for proper operation.
