Safety Recall 94S82 - Recall of Certain 1993 Escort Cars For Replacement of Driver Side Inboard Seat Track

AFFECTED VEHICLES

Certain 1993 Escort cars built from May 27, 1993 through June 2, 1993 at the Wayne Assembly Plant. Check OASIS to determine if a vehicle is affected.

REASONS FOR RECALL
On some of these cars, the driver's side inboard seat track adjuster may not fully engage into the stopper bracket in certain seating positions. If the adjuster is not fully engaged, the driver's seat may move during a sudden stop.

To correct this condition, dealers are to replace the driver's side inboard seat track on each of the affected cars.
