Power Seat Switch: Description and Operation

Voltage is applied at all times to the Power Seat Switch through the POWER SEAT fuse of the Interior Fuse Panel. The Power Seat Switch consists of six switches and three motors, operated through a single control lever that is mounted on the lower LH side of the driver's seat. The three motors are: the Front Height Motor, which drives the front of the seat up and down; the Rear Height motor, which drives the rear of the seat up and down; and the Forward/Rearward Motor, that drives the seat forward or backward. Moving the control lever in the desired direction of seat movement determines how current is applied through the Power Seat Switch. For example, when the lever is pulled straight up, both UP contacts of the Height Motors in the Power Seat Switch are closed. Under these conditions, both Height Motors receives current through the closed UP contacts and are grounded to G300 through the DOWN contacts.
