Daytime Running Lamp Control Unit: Description and Operation

When the Ignition Switch is in the RUN position, power is supplied to the Daytime Running Lamp Module through the COOLING FAN fuse. The power energizes the coils of the two relays in the Daytime Running Lamp Module, closing its contacts, and supplying power to the Turn/Hazard Flasher Lamps.

The Headlamp and Parking Brake Switches must be in the OFF position for the system to operate.

The Daytime Running Lamps are deactivated whenever the Headlamps are in the ON position or when the Parking Brake is engaged.
