Lighting and Horns: Description and Operation
The Exterior Lamps consist of the Tail Lamps, Parking Lamps, Side Marker Lamps, and the License Lamps.
Whenever the Lamp Switch is in the HEAD or PARK position, current is supplied to the Tail, Side Marker, License and Parking Lamps. All Exterior Lamps are permanently grounded and will light whenever current is supplied.
In cars equipped with VMM or Digital Cluster, whenever a Tail Lamp is out, the Stop/Tail Lamp Checker detects the outage and signals the malfunction to the VMM, or the System Scanner.
