Output Shaft: Service and Repair
DISASSEMBLEExploded View Of Mainshaft:
1. Remove bearing cone from fourth gear end using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-3 and bearing puller attachment tool No. D84L-1123-A, or equivalents.
2. Remove fourth gear, sleeve, third gear, and second gear.
3. Remove needle bearing, sleeve and ball, then the synchronizer gear.
4. Remove clutch hub assembly and synchronizer ring, then first gear using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-3 and axle bearing seal plate tool No. T75L-1165-B, or equivalents.
5. Remove needle bearing and thrust washer.
6. Remove bearing cone using shaft protector tool No. D80L-625-3 and bearing puller attachment tool No. D84L-1123-A, or equivalents.
7. Remove synchronizer springs and keys from clutch hub, then the clutch hub from sleeve.
ASSEMBLE
1. Reverse procedure to assemble. Lubricate needle bearings with transaxle fluid.
