Daytime Running Lamp Control Unit: Description and Operation

When the Ignition Switch is in the RUN position power is supplied to the Daytime Running Lamp Control Module through the COOLING FAN fuse of the Interior Fuse Panel. The Headlamp and Parking Brake Switches must be in the OFF position for the system to operate. Current flows through the Daytime Running Lamp Control Module to the Foglamp Relay, energizing its coil to close the relay contacts. Current from the FOG fuse passes through the Fog Lamp Relay to illuminate the Foglamps.
