Overboost Switch: Testing and Inspection

Overboost Warning System:

Vane Airflow Measuring Plate:

1. Start engine and run at 2000 rpm.
2. Remove air filter upper housing. Push air flow meter measuring plate to the fully open position.
3. Check that the warning buzzer sounds and engine speed drops or engine stalls. If buzzer does not sound, refer to Diagnostic Charts, Pinpoint Tests, LP5 - Overboost Warning Chime for diagnostic procedures.
4. Stop engine and replace air filter upper housing.
