With Analog Voltmeter

1. START engine and bring up to operating temperature.

IF ENGINE WILL NOT START, see No Start Symptom Test.

2. Turn the key OFF, wait ten seconds.

3. Turn analog voltmeter ON.

4. Turn ignition key ON.

5. Observe analog voltmeter needle sweeps for any code indications.

6. Record all codes received.

7. Turn the ignition key OFF.

IF ANY CODES ARE RECEIVED, see Erase and Retest.

IF NO CODES ARE RECEIVED AND ENGINE DOES NOT START, see No Start Symptom Test.
