Fog/Driving Lamp: Description and Operation

With the Headlamp Switch in the HEAD or PARK position and the Dimmer Switch in the LO-BEAM position, current is applied to the coils of the Headlamp and Dimmer Relays. With these contacts closed, the Foglamp Relay is energized, and upon closing supplies current from the FOG fuse to the Headlamp Switch. With the Foglamp Switch closed, current is supplied to the Foglamps.

In Canada, Foglamps are part of the Daytime Running Lamp System, which illuminate automatically when the Ignition Switch is in the ON position. They can also be operated manually from the Foglamp Switch.
