Air Cleaner Vacuum Motor and Valve

REMOVAL
1. Remove air cleaner assembly from vehicle and place on a work bench.

2. Remove four screws holding air cleaner cover to air cleaner tray.

3. Disconnect vacuum hose from vacuum motor and valve assembly.

4. Remove two vacuum motor retaining screws and remove vacuum motor from air cleaner tray.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect vacuum motor rod to valve door and position motor in air cleaner. Verify vacuum motor gasket is positioned correctly. Install new retaining screws and tighten to 35-60 in lb (4.0-6.8 Nm).

2. Check vacuum motor and valve for sticking or binding.

3. Install air cleaner cover. Tighten screws to 22-31 in lb (2.5-3.5 Nm).

4. Install air cleaner assembly in vehicle.
